Early access tickets for Delusion: Den of The Mosquito go on sale TODAY at 11 a.m., giving fans their first opportunity to secure a spot inside what Delusion is calling its longest and most interactive play to date.
And if you've been thinking about going this year, this probably isn't the ticket sale to casually check later tonight.
Delusion says Den of The Mosquito will have the most limited ticket availability in the show's history. Early access guests will receive a private link to enter the virtual queue when sales begin at 11 a.m., with a limited amount of time to purchase before tickets open to the general public.
So yeah, you might want to have that phone ready.
As for what you're buying a ticket to?
We're going to 1920s New Orleans, and things have apparently gone very, very wrong.
Guests become agents of Anomaly, a secret organization formed by President Woodrow Wilson to investigate supernatural threats. A disturbing report from a missing agent points the organization toward an ancient relic hidden inside a mysterious brothel in the bayou operated by the NOLA Mafia.
The agent's final message doesn't exactly make the assignment sound inviting.
Bloodless corpses are appearing. People are disappearing. Supernatural sightings are spreading. Something is feeding.
Now it's your job to enter New Orleans, infiltrate the brothel, locate the missing agent, uncover what's happening with the relic, and hopefully make it through whatever is waiting inside.
And remember, this is Delusion. You're not simply walking through rooms while actors jump out at you.
Den of The Mosquito is a fully interactive horror production where you become part of the story, and this year's experience is pushing that concept even further. Delusion says the approximately 50-minute experience will feature more interactivity and split paths, meaning guests may not necessarily experience everything the same way.
The story promises a pretty wild combination of horror, mystery, mobsters, monsters, and vampires, all wrapped inside the atmosphere of 1920s New Orleans.
There's also an extremely limited Play Your Part VIP Upgrade returning this year, and this takes "interactive" to another level.
Instead of only experiencing the story as a guest, VIP participants get the opportunity to become part of the nightmare for somebody else.
After completing the main show, VIP guests will join a mysterious character outside the regular play, put on swamp creature attire, and become one of the blood-thirsty Leeches during a pivotal scene, allowing them to terrorize actual guests making their way through the experience.
That's honestly such a cool idea.
The VIP upgrade also includes 15% off Delusion merchandise on site and a collectible Delusion: Den of The Mosquito photo. The additional experience takes place after your regular show, so you won't spoil the story for yourself beforehand.
Between the secret organization, supernatural investigation, New Orleans Mafia, ancient relic, swamp creatures, and vampire-filled brothel, Den of The Mosquito sounds like Delusion is going all-in on immersive horror this year.
